Energy Law in Austria
Energy law in Austria governs the generation, distribution, and use of energy, particularly electricity and gas. It is based on national laws such as the Electricity Industry and Organization Act (ElWOG), the regional implementation laws related to ElWOG, the Gas Industry Act (GWG), and the Renewable Expansion Act (EAG). The aim of energy law is to ensure a secure, sustainable, and competitive energy supply while promoting renewable energy sources.
What we do: We advise and represent companies on all legal matters related to energy supply. We support permitting procedures for energy facilities (e.g., wind power, photovoltaics), review contracts (e.g., grid connection, supply, or funding agreements), and assist with grant applications. Your renewable energy project is in excellent hands with us.
