FORESTRY LAW
Forestry Law in Austria
The Forestry Act 1975 is the central legal source of Austrian forestry law. Its objective is to preserve forests and forest soil with their productive capacity, and to ensure the multifunctional roles of forests as well as sustainable forest management. Many projects require alternative use of areas classified as forest and therefore need a deforestation permit.
What we do: We advise you on all questions of forestry law and represent you in deforestation permit procedures, in proceedings related to forest classification, and in obtaining approvals for forestry-related facilities.
